🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ Sunrise at my tallest

Date

2018

Location

New Zealand, Golden Bay

Book

Blowing Bubbles

I'm going to sleep with the rock as my pillow and the sky full of stars as my blanket and wake up at first light to be the tallest in the sunrise. It is a show that is greater than everything that's happening, and the shadow is the longest shadow I have during the day, at least until sunset.
The Golden Bay surrounds me, a sand patch of the spit is on my left, and a mountain range full of minerals and elements to my right, together they are spreading their energy in the bay. The people are friendlier, more communal, and it seems that the bay's atmosphere is magical and borders with the mountains. The magical atmosphere is me, and here, here I'm the one who chooses to see it. There is no need to be observant, just to get rid of all the sandflies.
My whole body, in its average height, is stretching now all over the shore, even in low tide. It looks like I can climb over a two-story building in a single step. I can grab the needed groceries for breakfast from the nearby store with a reach of the hand. The sun rises, goes back to being blinding, warming, and compensates for the cold that was before her arrival. And with the Earth's rotation, my shadow is returning to be average again. I really thought he would stay longer. The shadow has developed emotional intelligence. He is aware of his ego and the egos of others, of body language and responses. His social analysis helps improve behavior patterns and leads to a better understanding, of how to be a more social shadow in the world if he will just choose to be. The shadow is learning that he likes to please people, but isn't sure if it is for them or himself - It's probably a combination of both. All those conversations with the other shadows are full of sharing, pride in each shadow’s path, and comparison. How much space does the ego take up in all of this?
The sunset’s shadow claims that it takes up a big part. Judgment over financial success, children, materialism, a big house, a successful relationship - that judgment is being cast upon ourselves, by ourselves - the will to share success, and the tendency to avoid sharing failures. Many of those will come, and won't be failures at all, but rather an educating lesson.
The sunrise's shadow replies:
"Sometimes, this behavioral analysis takes away from true behavior, the one which comes out without filters, full of honesty and openness, that is being responded in the same way."
The midday's shadow:
"I know no one sees me, but I’m here, watching from my short and flat point of view. I believe that there is a need to get to the correct base, and to guide ourselves by everything we’ve experienced and learned; to continue in the developmental journey, and to remember that even if we are tallest at sunrise, so are others at sunset. Some of us cannot be seen at midday, and at night, everyone is suddenly equal as the shadows disappear…"
